Welcome to DecentWealth

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DecentWealth, a private portfolio tracking application for iOS that supports cryptocurrencies, stocks, ETFs, and other assets ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

If you don't agree with these Terms, please don't use the App.

Beta Testing Program

DecentWealth is currently in beta testing via Apple's TestFlight program. This means:

• The App is under active development and may contain bugs or errors
• Features may change, be added, or removed without notice
• The App may be unstable or not function as intended
• Your feedback helps us improve the App
• Beta access may be revoked at any time

Important: Do not rely on the beta version for critical financial tracking. We recommend keeping backup records of your portfolio data.

License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use DecentWealth for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or reverse engineer the App
• Sell, rent, lease, or distribute the App
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
• Use the App for any illegal purposes
• Attempt to circumvent any security features

Your Privacy & Data

DecentWealth is built on privacy-first principles:

• No account required - Use the App without signing up
• Data stays local - All portfolio data is stored on your device
• No tracking - We don't collect or transmit your financial data
• Optional iCloud sync - You control if and when to sync across devices

App Features

DecentWealth provides the following core features:

• Cryptocurrency tracking: Monitor wallets across 18 networks including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and EVM-compatible chains
• Stock & ETF tracking: Track holdings with real-time prices, cost basis, and profit/loss calculations
• Dividend tracking: Monitor dividend income, ex-dates, yield analysis, and income projections
• Transaction management: Record buy, sell, transfer, and swap transactions with fee tracking
• Manual assets & liabilities: Track real estate, vehicles, retirement accounts, loans, and other items
• Multi-currency support: View your portfolio in 31 different currencies with live exchange rates
• Portfolio analytics: Charts, allocation breakdowns, performance metrics, and heatmaps
• QR code functionality: Generate and scan QR codes for wallet addresses (requires camera access)
• Data export: Export transactions to CSV or PDF format (Premium feature)
• Biometric security: Optional Face ID, Touch ID, or Optic ID app lock

Multi-Platform Support

DecentWealth is available across Apple platforms:

• iPhone: Full-featured iOS app (requires iOS 18.0 or later)
• iPad: Optimized layout with expanded analytics views
• Mac: Native Mac app via Mac Catalyst with keyboard shortcuts
• Apple Watch: Portfolio summary and top holdings at a glance
• Home Screen Widgets: Quick portfolio value and holdings preview

Data syncs between devices via iCloud (Premium feature). Watch and widget data is shared locally using secure App Groups.

Age Requirements

DecentWealth is intended for users aged 17 and older. By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 17 years old. The App is designed for personal portfolio tracking and contains financial information that may not be suitable for younger users. We do not knowingly collect data from or provide services to anyone under 17 years of age.

Your Responsibilities

When using DecentWealth, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when tracking your portfolio
• Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws
• Keep your device secure (we can't access your data to recover it)
• Backup your data regularly, especially during beta
• Not use the App for any fraudulent or illegal activities

Subscriptions & Premium Features

DecentWealth offers optional premium subscriptions that unlock additional features:

• Free tier: Track up to 3 crypto wallets, 3 manual assets, and 3 liabilities
• Premium: Unlimited wallets, assets, liabilities, iCloud sync, and CSV/PDF export

Subscriptions are available as monthly, yearly, or family plans (up to 6 members), processed through Apple's App Store:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
• Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription
• Use the "Restore Purchases" button in Settings to restore your subscription on a new device or after reinstalling

Refunds are handled by Apple according to their App Store terms.

No Financial Advice

DecentWealth is a portfolio tracking tool, not financial advice. The App:

• Does not provide investment, tax, or legal recommendations
• Does not guarantee accuracy of pricing data for cryptocurrencies, stocks, ETFs, or other assets
• Is not a substitute for professional financial, tax, or legal advice
• Should not be the sole basis for any investment or financial decisions
• Does not execute trades or connect to exchanges/brokerages

Pricing data is provided by third parties and may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. Always verify important financial information through official sources. Do your own research and consult qualified professionals before making investment decisions.

Disclaimer of Warranties

DecentWealth is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of data
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Security or freedom from viruses

Beta Disclaimer: As beta software, the App is especially likely to contain errors and should not be relied upon for critical functions.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DecentWealth and its creators shall not be liable for:

• Any financial losses or investment decisions based on App data
• Loss of data, even if stored locally on your device
• Inaccurate pricing information from third-party sources
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Issues arising from beta software instability

You use DecentWealth at your own risk.

Third-Party Services

DecentWealth uses third-party services for data retrieval:

• Blockchain data: Alchemy (16 EVM chains), Helius (Solana), mempool.space (Bitcoin)
• Cryptocurrency prices: DefiLlama (free, no API key required)
• Stock & dividend data: EODHD (prices, company info, dividend history)
• Exchange rates: Exchange Rate API (31 currency conversions)
• Cloud sync: Apple iCloud (optional Premium feature, uses your personal iCloud account)

These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or practices. Service outages may temporarily affect price updates or balance fetching. Data refreshes automatically every 30 seconds when the app is active.

Apple Watch & Widgets

DecentWealth includes an Apple Watch companion app and home screen widgets. These extensions:

• Display portfolio data from the main iOS app
• Store data locally on your devices using secure App Groups
• Do not transmit data externally beyond what the main app already does
• May show cached data that could be slightly outdated

Intellectual Property

DecentWealth, including its code, design, logo, and content, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks or branding without permission.

Open Source: We may open source parts of DecentWealth in the future. Any open-sourced code will be governed by its respective license.

Deleting Your Data

Since DecentWealth stores all data locally on your device (no accounts required), you have full control over your data:

• Delete specific items: Remove individual wallets, transactions, assets, or liabilities within the App
• Delete all app data: Uninstall the App to remove all local data from your device
• Delete iCloud data: If using iCloud sync, delete DecentWealth data from Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage
• Cancel subscription: Manage subscriptions in App Store → Account → Subscriptions

We cannot recover your data once deleted, as we have no access to your local device storage.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the beta program at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including:

• Violation of these Terms
• End of the beta testing period
• At our sole discretion

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:

• We'll update the "Last updated" date
• Continued use of the App means you accept the new Terms
• We may notify you of significant changes via the App or email

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with EU law.
